This fund provides grants to low-income seniors in southeastern Vermont to assist with unexpected costs of caring for their pets.
Richard M., a West River Valley Meals on Wheels client, was having challenges getting his sweet 2 year old dog, Sandy, to a veterinarian and paying for her vaccinations, neutering and necessary after-care while she recuperates from that surgery. Through the "Foxy Fund" at Senior Solutions, Richard was able to receive a stipend to pay a foster family to care for Sandy as she heals. The "Foxy Fund" helps older and disabled Vermonters keep and care for their pets who bring them much comfort. Richard personally offers many thanks and blessings to Senior Solutions and the "Foxy Fund."
